2, 2 '- pyridine and its derivatives are a kind of important chemical and drug intermediates, has a unique chelation, can react with many metal ions to produce the metal complex, is widely used in metal catalyst ligands, light-emitting materials, pharmaceutical intermediates, and photosensitive agent, and many other fields.
4,4'-Bis(5-hexyl-2-thienyl)-2,2'-bipyridineis a kind of 4, 4 substitution of 2, 2' - pyridine derivatives, can be used as a variety of metal catalyst ligands, such as color solar photovoltaic industry which has a broad application prospect.
In October 2013, 2, 2 '- al pyridine - 4, 4 - (5 - hexyl - 2 - thiophene) (CAS NO. : 1047684-56-9) was sucessfully developed in the lab of Zhengzhou Sigma Chemical Company. Later it was successfully exported to Switzerland and Japan.
At present the patent of 4,4'-Bis(5-hexyl-2-thienyl)-2,2'-bipyridine is under review.
